THOUSANDS of Filipinos braved the rains to line up at the La Salle Greenhills gymnasium where the remains of former President Corazon Aquino were brought for public viewing.

Among those who lined up were VERA Files photographer Mario Ignacio, his wife Tracy, their three kids and nephew.

Afterwards, Tracy wrote in her Facebook entry, “(We) brought our kids and our nephew to meet her and to say goodbye as well… We stood in line for about an hour and saw how it filled with ordinary citizens like us, many of whom were standing with their umbrellas under the rain… And when our turn finally came, we said our silent prayer: she is now with You; thank You for lending her to us..”

Below are the shots Ignacio took as he joined the ranks of those who were sending her off.
