Within five minutes, former president Rodrigo Duterte has contradicted himself from saying the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino (PDP) belongs to the opposition in the current administration to not being in the opposition.

Incumbent senators and congressmen, who have retained membership in PDP since the 2022 elections, belong to the majority blocs in the Senate and the House of Representatives.
